Meet Our Team
At Thomasville Veterinary Hospital Urgent Care + Surgery, our team of compassionate professionals demonstrate their genuine love for animals with every pet that visits our hospital.
I have been in the veterinary field since 2004. I have worn many hats during my time in the industry, starting out as a receptionist and working my way to management roles in both general practice and specialty veterinary hospitals. I have a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Master’s in Business Administration with a specialization in Leadership from Embry-Riddle. I am a Level 1 and 2 Fear Free Certified Professional.
I live in Greensboro with my husband, Ryan who is an airline pilot, my daughter Mary, and five dogs; three pit bulls - Penelope, Butters, and Roxie, and two dachshunds - Annie and Lizzie. When I am outside of the hospital setting, I enjoy cooking, reading, crafting and flying in our family’s Beechcraft Bonanza and Cessna 170.
I have been in the veterinary field since 1995. Upon graduation from high school, I moved to North Carolina from Arkansas. I started my career as a Veterinary Assistant, working my way to a Client Relations Specialist and then into a Supervisor role. I have been married since 2008 and have two beautiful children. Outside of my career, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, photography, reading, fishing, boating, and cheering on my son’s baseball team. I am also very active within my church and love serving the Lord and being with my church family.
Hi! My name is Melanie and I am one of the friendly faces that you will find behind the front desk. I started at TVH in 2015, new to the veterinary industry, but with a strong love for all animals and eager to learn. I moved to North Carolina from upstate New York in 2000 and graduated from South Rowan High school with honors in 2007. I reside in Thomasville with my two cats Meeko and Stewart, and my pit bull Jakobi. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking with my canine companion, camping, going to the beach, and cooking.
I began working with animals in 2000. I started off at a local boarding and training facility, however I started my career in the veterinary field in 2004. Since starting in the field, I have also worked closely with in and out of state rescues. I earned my veterinary assistant degree through Professional Career Development Institute in 2003, and have continued my education through Penn Foster, where I am taking classes through the state to become a trained and licensed wildlife rehabilitator. I have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. I currently share my home with 7 amazing canines. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and my pets.
Hi! I am Elizabeth, a 30-something redhead who still doesn’t know what she wants to be when she grows up. Primarily, you will find me at the reception desk but always willing to lend a hand wherever it is needed. I never grow tired of learning.
North Carolina, born and raised, I am happily married to my high school sweetheart, and have two beautiful children, a boy and a girl that I homeschool, and we share our house with a crew of cats and dogs. My friends call me “George” and I am an avid reader of all genres, love to knit and can often be found singing loudly and off-key. I never get tired of petting dogs. I also have a soft spot for grumpy cats and love to make people smile. I have a propensity for eating sweets and will never turn down chocolate or donuts!

My name is Wendy and I am a groomer here at Thomasville Veterinary Hospital. I have been grooming since 2001, but have been taking care of the pets at TVH since 2015. I became a groomer on a whim out of necessity, but stayed with it because I enjoy it. I am a lover of most animals (no spiders, please). I am the mother of a wonderful grown son (Ricky), two sweet Dogs (Soldier and Chloe) and a five member kitty brigade (Dallas, Boston, Cowboy, Panther, and Reilly) collectively known as “The Furry Fury.” On my days off I can usually be found at the NC Zoo or other animal related places, taking lots of pictures and enjoying the outdoors. I hope to see you soon at TVH. I would love the privilege of taking care of your pet’s grooming needs.
Hi, my name is Lindsey Faith Cranford. I am a groomer here at Thomasville Veterinary Hospital. I received a certificate from DCCC’s dog grooming program. I have always loved animals and dreamed of working with them. Working with animals has always been my passion. I treat every animal as if they were my own. I have two dogs, Lucky, a Miniature Schnauzer mix and Bentley, a Miniature Schnauzer. Some of my favorite hobbies are playing with and taking pictures of my furbabies, hanging out with my family, painting, drawing, and horseback riding. It would be my pleasure to groom your furbabies!
My name is Kathryn, but most people call me Kat. I have worked at Thomasville Veterinary Hospital since June 2019. I knew I wanted to work with and help animals since I was a senior in high school, when I did my senior project on animal abuse and started fostering animals, while also having animals of my own. I spend my free time hanging out with my family, friends, and my dog Mali, who is my world. I took a veterinary assistant class in 2016 and received my certificate. I hope to continue my path with animals and start school to get my Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology this year.
